Chromatography columns for HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) are filled with various modified silica powders as the stationary phase. They are used to separate mixtures of substances for analysis or purification. In the production of these stationary phases, the treated silica powder is filtered off from the solvent at the end of the synthesis and then dried under vacuum. Large-scale rotary evaporators with powder flasks have the advantage that the special geometry of the rotary flask breaks up agglomerates and thus ensures complete drying.

A southern German manufacturer* for analytical technology and devices, which among other things produces HPLC columns, uses a Hei-VAP Industrial - All-round package with 20 l powder flask.

Hei-VAP Industrial - All-round package

  • Particularly tight system for low vacuum values and efficient powder drying

  • Includes powerful vacuum pump with 2 mbar ultimate vacuum

  • Ramp function allows programming of drying processes

20 l powder flask

  • Special geometry for breaking up agglomerates

  • Highly resistant borosilicate glass allows working at high heating bath temperatures

  • Safe and reliable design of the grooves guarantees a long service life
