Conductive ink is produced for the construction of printed circuit boards using 3D printing processes. It contains conductive materials such as copper, gold or silver. The 3D printer prints the desired electrical connections between the components onto a dielectric substrate. This means that this additive process differs significantly from the conventional, subtractive method, in which copper layers are etched away.

The ink is synthesized in reactors that are operated with overhead stirrers. After construction, the water used in this process must be removed in a rotary evaporator in order to obtain the required viscous consistency of the ink.

An Israeli manufacturer of conductive inks* for printing printed circuit boards uses the Hei-TORQUE Expert 200 as the drive of a 20 l reactor for synthesis, as well as a Hei-VAP Industrial with R-glassware to remove the water.
